Delegate Eligibility and Conduct Requirements

The following list will apply to all national, state and local delegates.

Competition Requirements

1. Each delegate must be size 14W or greater.  See the Frequently Asked Questions page for a definition of a size 14W.
2. Each delegate must be born female.
3. Each delegate must be a citizen of the United States.
4. Age is determined by July 1 of each competition year, unless your DOB falls within a 2 week period before or after the pageant.
5. Delegates may be single, married, widowed or divorced.
6. Delegates in the Mrs. Division must be married by the first day of the pageant.
7. Delegates may represent the state they live in, were born in, hold property in, work in, or attended school in.
8. Returning delegates must get permission from the Executive Staff to hold the same state more than twice in a row and are subject to a waiting period as determined by The Miss Plus America pageant staff.
9. All prior felony convictions must be declared, in writing, prior to entry and entry must be approved by the National Executive Board of Directors.  Failure to do so will result in immediate dismissal from the Miss Plus America Pageant.
10. Coronet Productions reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant with or without cause.

Conduct Requirements

As representative of The Miss Plus America Pageant, all local, state and national titleholders agree to the following guidelines for conduct during her local, state or national reign.

1.  I will not participate in harmful, malicious, inflammatory, defaming or slanderous speech towards The Miss Plus America Pageant, Coronet Productions LLC, its affiliates or assignees, or any staff member, or sponsor, whether it be oral, written, or otherwise conveyed during my reign and during as well as after the local, state or national pageant.
2. I will NOT consume and/or use alcohol and/or illegal drugs while participating in any function or event (unless sanctioned by Coronet Productions LLC) from the beginning of my local or state reign until the end of the local or state reign while representing the Miss Plus America Pageant.  Doing so will result in automatic relinquishment of my title and dismissal from the local, state or national pageant.
3. I will NOT wear my crown and/or banner to any event where alcohol is being served unless sanctioned by The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions LLC.
4. I will remember that my facebook and/or myspace page content as well as any other internet website(s) or web page(s) is considered a reflection on me as a titleholder and the Miss Plus America Pageant System.  All sexually suggestive photos and verbally explicit comments must be removed during my local, state or national reign.  Examples of such material include but are not limited to:
   1. Photos of delegate in undergarments.
   2. Photos of delegate which place emphasis on or expose all or part of the chest or buttocks area.
   3. Text which is insulting to an individual or group of individuals.
   4. Text which contains foul language, explicit and/or inflammatory comments.

You agree to comply with any request, which may be made by The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet productions LLC, to immediately remove any material which The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions may deem inappropriate or unbecoming.  The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions, LLC reserve sole discretion in these matters.

5. I understand that The Miss Plus America Pageant is a family organization and I am a member of that family; keeping this in mind I will not participate in harmful, malicious or slanderous speech or gossip, written or spoken, toward the Miss Plus America Pageant, fellow delegates and/or agents of the Miss Plus America Pageant.
6. I understand they my title is the property of the Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions LLC, and that I may not register any document, email address, website name, webpage name, forum registration or other publicly viewed or accessible print, video or other media without complying with the following criteria.
   1. I will include a year designation of at least 2 digits such as “Miss Plus America ‘08”
   2. I may use a year designation of 4 digits such as:  “Miss Plus America Elite 2008”
   3. For an email or website I will include a year designation of at least 2 digits such as mrsplusamerica08@mymailserver.com

Any exceptions to this rule must be requested directly from The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions LLC.

Film, Television, Radio, Internet Media by third party production companies.

Coronet Productions and The Miss Plus America Pageant may permit outside production companies and/or news/entertainment organizations to interview and record delegates during the course of their reign, local/state and/or national competition and beyond.  Many times these entities require their own release forms to be signed.  The delegate is solely responsible for making the decision of participating or not participating in such filming or interviews and the delegate is solely responsible for making the decision to sign or not sign any agreements presented by the production company or organization.  Whether or not the delegate chooses to participate has no impact or effect on their competition or the outcome of the competition.  Coronet Productions and The Miss Plus America Pageant will not accept the responsibility for deciding what you deem appropriate or acceptable to be filmed and/or aired on cable or television. If you decide to participate in filming or interviews, you hereby agree to hold Coronet Productions and The Miss Plus America Pageant harmless against any and all claims or damages both real and perceived as result of your signing such agreements.  Make certain you understand the document since you are accepting the sole responsibility for your participation.

By submitting the application I affirm that I have read and understood and will/do comply with all conditions stated herein.  I understand that any violations of the terms and conditions contained herein may result in my dismissal and disqualification as a delegate and I understand that I will hold The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions LLC, its affiliates or assignees harmless against any damages or losses I might incur as a result of my failure to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein.  I also understand that any false statements made to The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions may result in my dismissal and disqualification as a delegate and I understand that I agree to hold The Miss Plus America Pageant, Coronet Productions LLC, its affiliates or assignees harmless against any losses I may incur as a result of my failure to comply with the terms and conditions herein.

I agree to return the Crown and Banner, whether it is a local, state or national Crown and Banner, if I am unable to complete my reign by either my choosing or as a result of dismissal or disqualification.  I understand that if I do not return my Crown and Banner I will be held responsible for the full retail price of the Crown and Banner at the time it was originally purchased, as well as any legal fees or other expenses incurred by The Miss Plus America Pageant and Coronet Productions LLC in an attempt to recover the Crown and Banner or their stated value.

I understand that if I submit my online Miss Plus America local/state or national application as a local, state or national delegate, this agreement is valid and continues to be enforceable if I win and move on to the state, or national competitions. Item number 1 of the conduct requirements portion of this agreement will survive and remain in force after my reign or competition is completed.
